Teddy Afro (Amharic: ?? ??? ; real name: Tewodros Kassahun , Amharic: ????? ???? , born July 14, 1976) is an Ethiopian singer.

Teddy Afro lives on the outskirts of Addis Ababa. He is arguably the most famous musician in Ethiopia right now. His first album Abugida was released in 2001.
Her second album Lebo was performed in 2000 but released in 2002.
Her third album, Yasteseryal was released in 2005. This album is one of the most influential and controversial. The brilliant lyrics of Tedy Afro and the release of this album coincide with the rising political tensions in Ethiopia surrounding the Ethiopian elections, 2005. The government banned four of his songs including "Yasteseryal" from playing in Ethiopian media. Nevertheless, the album sold over a million copies in the months following its release.
Her fourth album, Tikur Sew , was released in 2012. This is the most expensive album in Ethiopia after her fifth album "Ethiopia".
The fifth album of Teddy Afro, Ethiopia , reached the top of the Billboard World Albums charts in May 2017, by which time over 600,000 units had been sold.

Personal life
Kassahun lives in Addis Ababa. She is married to Ethiopian actress, model and producer, Amleset Muchie. They have two children, Michael Tewodros and Yemariam Tewodros.
Legal issues
Despite much controversy surrounding the issue, Tewodros Kassahun was jailed for two years in connection with alleged hit-and-run.
