Nathaniel Peterson (born September 1, 1981), widely known as "Coyote Peterson", is an American YouTube personality and wildlife educator. He is most known for his wildlife videos on YouTube, which are posted on his channel Brave Wilderness. He is well known for a sequence of videos where he lets the insects with the most painful stings, according to the Schmidt sting pain index, sting him. He hosts several series on his YouTube channel: including Breaking Trail, Beyond the Tide, Dragon Tails, Base Camp, and Coyote's Backyard.

Peterson was born in Newbury, Ohio on September 1, 1981. He attended the college-preparatory school, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School. He then studied film at The Ohio State University, where he graduated in 2004. He has a daughter, nicknamed Pup Peterson, who has been featured in several of his videos. Some of Peterson's inspirations include Steve Irwin, Bear Grylls, and Jack Hanna.

Coyote Peterson began posting videos on his YouTube channel, Brave Wilderness, in 2014. On his channel, he hosts several series including: Breaking Trail, which won a 2015 Emmy award for youth/teen programs, Dragon Tails, Coyote's Backyard, Beyond the Tide, and On Location. Due to his booming success he was featured on Conan along with Jeff Goldblum where he brought many animals including the world's largest slug and a bird eating tarantula.
