Susan Diane Wojcicki ( woh- JIS -kee , born July 5, 1968 ) is an American technology executive. He has been a YouTube CEO since February 2014. He is from Los Altos, California, and has a net worth of $ 410 million.

Early life and education

Wojcicki is the daughter of Esther Wojcicki, a Russian-Jewish educator, and Stanley Wojcicki, a professor of American physics at Stanford University. She has two sisters: Janet Wojcicki, (PhD, anthropologist and epidemiologist) and Anne Wojcicki, founder of 23andMe. He grew up on the Stanford campus with George Dantzig as a neighbor. He studied at Gunn High School in Palo Alto, California, and wrote for the school newspaper.

Wojcicki's first business was to sell "door-to-door" ropes at the age of 11. A humanities scholar in college, he took his first computer science class as a senior.

Wojcicki studied history and literature at Harvard University and graduated with honors in 1990. He originally planned to earn a PhD in economics and pursue a career in academia but changed his plans when he found interest in technology.

He also received a Master of Science degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1993 and a Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in 1998.

Careers

In September 1998, the same month when Google was founded, its founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, set up an office in Wojcicki's garage in Menlo Park. Before becoming the first Google marketing manager in 1999, Wojcicki worked in marketing at Intel in Santa Clara, California, and was a management consultant at Bain & amp; Company and R.B. Personal life

Wojcicki married Dennis Troper on August 23, 1998, in Belmont, California. They have five children. On December 16, 2014, before taking the fifth birthday leave, Wojcicki wrote an opinion in the Wall Street Journal about the importance of paid maternity leave. He is often quoted about the importance of finding a balance between family and career.

In addition to US citizenship, he is a Polish citizen. His grandfather, Franciszek WÃÆ'³jcicki, was the People's Party and politician of the Polish People's Party who was elected to parliament during the legislative elections of Poland, 1947.

Advocacy

Wojcicki has been a supporter for several causes, including the expansion of paid family leave, the suffering of Syrian refugees, against gender discrimination in technology companies, making girls interested in computer science and prioritizing coding in schools.
