Sir Anthony Robinson (born August 15, 1946) is a British actor, comedian, writer, presenter and political activist. She is known for playing Baldrick on the BBad Blackadder television series and for hosting the Channel 4 Timestime and Worst Works in History program. Robinson is a member of the Labor Party and has served on the National Executive Committee. He has also written sixteen children's books.

Robinson attended the independent Woodford Green Preparation School and Wanstead County Middle School (now Wanstead Secondary School), the grammar school in what is now Borough London in Redbridge. At school, Robinson graduated four O-levels (English, Literature, History, and Geography) and continued studying for A-levels. Robinson had his first acting role at the age of 13, as a member of the Fagin gang in the original musical production of Oliver! , including acting as an Artful Dodger when boys play a failing role. Over the next five years, he appeared in a number of West End shows, in films, and on television.

Careers
Initial career
Too young to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Robinson even studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama. After leaving, he spent four years in the treasury theater especially at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds.
He won an Arts Council scholarship to work as a director at Midlands Art Center, Birmingham, and founded Avon Touring Company, a Bristol community-based theater company, with author David Illingworth. She played a small role as a student doctor Grace in the 1972-73 series of Doctors Who Charge .
He appeared in the 1974-75 season at Chichester Festival Theater, as Angel of Chicago in nativity music Follow The Star . In the 1975 season, he appeared as Hovstad in Henrik Ibsen The Enemy . In 1976, he appeared as Feste at Twelfth Night, and as Majorin in Monsieur Perrichon's Travels.
In 1972 he starred in Sam's children's education program at Boffs Island and later became a presenter at Play Away . He also appeared in the award-winning documentary Horizon Joey , and in the title role in the production of BBC The Miracle of Brother Humphrey . He also has a small part in the movie Brannigan starring John Wayne.
He was also one of the Who Dares Wins teams in the Channel 4 comedy/satire in the early/mid-1980s.
> Blackadder (1983-1989)
Robinson became famous in 1983 for his role in the British sitcom Blackadder as Baldrick's Edmund Blackadder. In the first series, broadcast as The Black Adder , he is quite ingenious, while his master is an idiot. Then the Blackadder II series, Blackadder Goes Forth, moves the duo through history and diverts the relationship: Edmund Blackadder from Blackadder Blackadder II II is a brilliant swindler, while Baldrick has moved to a clown whose slogan is "I have a cunning plan" (which he rarely possesses).
In addition to his acting at Blackadder, Robinson also wrote and narrated some of Jackanory's children's programs, driven by Richard Curtis. Programs in this style include Stories From Fat Tulip Garden (continued at Fat Tulip Too ), Odysseus: The Greatest Hero of Them All (a retelling from Iliad and Odyssey ) and Blood and Honey (a fairy tale of the Old Testament, filmed on location).

In 1994, Robinson began presenting Tim Tim , a TV program devoted to a limited archeological investigation of up to three days (the results were never guaranteed, varying from spectacular to disappointing). In 2005, Exeter University bestowed honorary doctorate degrees for Robinson, and honorary professor at major presenter Mick Aston and producer Tim Taylor, to reflect his appreciation for what Tim Tim has done to understand archeology in England. In the 2011 episode of "Hitler Island Fortress", Robinson describes himself as an amateur archaeologist.
Also in 1994, Robinson played a small part in an episode called "One Flew Over the Parents' Nest" in the TV series Mind , playing a character called "Willie the Weed". Robinson is designed to present other historical events on Channel 4, including Worst Works in History , researching and inaugurating some of the more dreadful jobs of the last millennium. He also took this show on tours across the country along with question and answer sessions and autobiography. This first series was followed by Worst Christmas Jobs in History in December 2005 and then the second series of Worst Works in History on Channel 4 in April 2006.
Careers 1999-2010
In 1999, Robinson re-starred in the short film Blackadder to celebrate the new millennium, titled Blackadder: Back & amp; Just like . This short film was featured on the Millennium Dome throughout 2000 and then aired on BBC One in 2002.
Robinson also contributed voiceover for the Airline series in a series of new series from 1999 focusing on EasyJet staff daily routines at airports. The show is made for ITV and is often repeated today at Sky Real Lives, Sky 1, Sky 2, Sky 3 (now Select TV) & amp; ITV2. He worked as a narrator for six of the remaining nine series until 2006 when the series ended. Tony Robinson's Cunning Night Out , a largely improvised stage performance, followed in early 2005 and incorporated a mixture of many themes from his famous career Robinson. He also edited and presented The Real Da Vinci Code , a documentary for Weird World series Channel 4 which disproves the claims made by Dan Brown in his novel The Da Vinci Code .
In addition to telling his own story, Robinson narrated a succinct audiobook version of Terry Pratchett's novels by Discworld . Nigel Planer, Celia Imrie and Stephen Briggs narrated the unadged versions. He also provides a voice for some characters in the Discworld videogame. He followed this Discworld work by playing a role in the dramatization of live action television Hogfather, broadcast on Sky during the 2006 Christmas season.
Robinson also presents Classic FM's Classical Friendly Guide for Music which airs on Sunday at 4 pm. All 16 episodes of episodes were repeated on December 26, 2006. With Channel 4 Robinson presented Tony Robinson's Crimes and Punishments and Disasters and Humans on Earth that focus on the struggle of humanity with climate change in 200,000 years last. Tony Robinson and Paranormal first aired on Channel 4 in December 2008. In this series, Robinson investigated a phenomenal phenomenon that combines archaeological, parapsychological, historical and spiritualism fields to investigate psychological evidence.
In July 2009, he appeared on the lightweight BBC1 series Hotel Babylon as a sneaky hit man named Arthur Barnes. His character fell unconscious by a flying bottle thrown by the hotel manager during a confrontation in the lobby.

From September 10, 2012, Robinson held a series on the Australian History Channel called Tony Robinson Time Walks. The series unveils stories that form the characters of various cities and suburbs around Australia, including Fremantle, Melbourne, Hobart, Woolloomooloo, Bendigo, Newcastle, Carlton, Brisbane, St Kilda, Adelaide, Canberra, Kalgoorlie, Townsville and Launceston. He also went to Christchurch, New Zealand.
During October 2012, it was announced that Tim Tim will be canceled after nearly 20 years on television. Tara Conlan of The Guardian called the event "television history". When talking about the success of the show, Robinson said, "Not many players are given the privilege of appearing in two iconic TV series - but I'm lucky." The ratings of the show fell, causing Channel 4 to pursue an alternative "innovative" approach to the historical documentary program.
Between 2012 and 2014, Robinson presented a series of programs for Channel 4 called Walking Through History. It features Robinson hiking through the iconic landscape of England, including Cairngorms, Jurassic Beach and Stonehenge. At least 16 hours long episodes aired, in four series. The next 3-part series is called the Ancient Track of Britain with Tony Robinson featured on Channel 4 in 2016.

In 2014, Robinson plays the title role in the production tour of The Hypochondriac, a new translation of Richard Bean from MoliÃÆ'¨re's Le Leade Imaginaire, directed by Lindsay Posner.
In 2015, Robinson presented an hour-long program for Discovery TV, Tony Robinson Wild West, where he sought to unveil the Wild West reality in America in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Featuring key figures such as Wyatt Earp, Geronimo and Buffalo Bill, it includes artefacts and stereographic images.
In February 2017, Robinson organized his own Channel Five program titled Tony Robinson: Coast to Coast.
Political and charitable work
From 1996 to 2000, Robinson was vice president of Equity actor union, assisting with a major restructuring program that turned the £ 500,000 deficit into a small surplus. He continues to work in Equity. In 2000 he was elected to the National Executive Committee of the Labor Party, a position he held in 2004.
Robinson was also active in the "Make Poverty History" campaign in early 2005, ahead of the G8 summit in Scotland, and is the patron of the charity UK Street Child Africa.
In March 2011, Robinson participated in the March for the Alternative protest in Central London, which opposed the Conservative spending cuts program led by the UK Government Coalition.
Robinson is the honorary president of the Archaeological Young Archaeologist's Club of England. Robinson has shown his support for Burma Campaign UK, an NGO aimed at highlighting human rights abuses in Myanmar under the State Peace and Development Council.
Robinson is Alive's parent-protector, saying that the organization "is at the forefront of promoting stimulating activities that help improve people's quality of life in care" Alive! the goal is to transform the housing maintenance sector, so that the mental, social and emotional well-being of parents is prioritized alongside their physical care.
Personal life
Robinson first married in 1969 to Barbara ("Bardy") Henshall, and divorced four years later.
Robinson is a fan of the Genesis rock band and provides an arm note for the reissue of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway as part of the 1970-1975 Genesis box.
Robinson became a knight at the 2013 Anniversary Award for public and political services.
