YouTuber Professional and amateurs

Some beauty vloggers are expanding their careers in the online beauty industry and earning money by utilizing their channels as a way to expand and exploit them for business purposes, as well as being executed through collaboration with cosmetic and/or clothing brands to launch new products, while other YouTube users choose to comply simple video uploads as a hobby. In general, whether these YouTube users choose to use their channel as a gateway to create a name for themselves or as a personal hobby, beauty-related videos generally fall into the following categories: product reviews, makeup tutorials, carting and personality clips.

In this category, Beauty YouTuber gives life advice to viewers while telling stories about personal experiences, sharing positive and negative experiences with certain beauty products through trials and errors, and demonstrating how to do certain techniques to achieve specific makeup appearances. When publishing this vast amount of information, it also provides a forum for feedback. According to the Calgary University Journal article, one of the most popular "video" categories is "Be Prepared With Me". These videos show how the beauty of YouTuber is ready for certain occasions that occur in their daily lives and daily rituals, be it trips to malls, special events, or even just to go to sleep.

In addition to making videos, YouTuber beauty typically takes part in media events such as "BeautyCon Festivals, the annual beauty festival for Internet brands and celebrities, and Vidcon, a conference featuring YouTube stars, brands, and media companies.

The impact felt by beauty vloggers in social media can be seen primarily in the world of magazines. Just last year, Linda Wells, the founding editor of Allure Magazine, was replaced by a younger editor who looks smarter in technology and more in touch with the online presence of beauty vlogger. Michelle Lee, former editor of Nylon and Allure's editor-in-chief at the moment, said that despite the "hostility" to the beauty vlogger in the magazine world at first, she decided to use their voices instead. This is an important decision considering the beauty vlogger has a greater influence (and salary) than the beauty editors of today. This change shows that technology goes far beyond paper sales when it comes to the world of beauty. Consumers will soon go to Youtube and watch beauty tutorials instead of opening magazines and viewing articles on the same topic. The only way that magazines can survive is by collaborating with a beauty vlogger. Michelle Lee points out that she has accepted the change by working with a beauty vlogger instead of rejecting it, as many competing magazine editors do.

This method is communicative by enacting realistic interactions with the audience.
