Jenny Doan is the leading quilter and face of the Quilt Star Missouri Company . She is the woman who turns her hobby into a multimillion dollar business. Doan has been called "The world's most famous quilter" because more than 350 YouTube tutorials have been viewed over 110 million times. By 2015, two of his sons who handled the final business from Missouri Star Quilt Co. received the National Small Business Award of the Year.

Personal life and career
Doan and her husband, Ron, live in Hamilton, Missouri. Ron works as a machinist with Kansas City Star . They have seven children and twenty-two grandchildren.
Doan learned to sew with the 4-H Club youth organization at the age of ten. As a newly weds she sewed costumes for local theater groups, and after her children left home, she took her first quilting class at the Grand River Technical School in Chillicothe, Missouri. He is a published author of various articles and quilting patterns, and contributes to the company's quilting magazine, BLOCK .
He has appeared on local radio and NBC news broadcasts, but much of his fame comes because of over 350 YouTube videos through which he teaches quick and easy methods to create attractive quilts with precut fabrics.

In 2008, Doan and his family founded the Missouri Star Quilt Company and began producing weekly tutorials on YouTube. The company started with a longarm sewing machine in a dilapidated brick building in downtown Hamilton, Missouri as a shop. He uses a patchwork method of quiltmaking along with applique techniques.
Today, the Missouri Star Quilt Company processes over 30,000 orders each month for precut and other quilting ideas and has become the largest company in Caldwell County, Missouri, employing over 300 people. The company also operates a retreat center for tourists, built in 2013 by combining two adjacent sites.
Hamilton, with a population of 1,800, holds between five and ten thousand visitors each month who come to meet Doan. According to Doan, the company's appeal is based on making quilting more friendly and more fun than ever. Visitors are taught how to use a precut cloth to make a blanket in just a day instead of months.
