Controversy
"Love the Fat People"
In September 2015, Arbor became the subject of controversy when he posted a viral video on his YouTube channel entitled "Dear Fat People". Critics argue that the video supports fat insult. The video was temporarily unavailable on YouTube, more than a claim that the video violated YouTube's terms of service but was later restored.
Arbor is the subject of public criticism and celebrity, with Ashley Graham's model labeling his comments "absolutely disgusting". Director Pat Mills dismissed Arbor from the upcoming movie after viewing the video and was quoted through several sources, "I'm gay, I'm bullied a lot as a kid, I'm no stranger to mockery and loneliness... This fat-phobia and terrible. for more than six minutes I feel like I've been punched in my stomach I'm so sad I tremble like Shelley Duvall on The Shining ". On September 10, 2015, Arbor, via Twitter denied ever having any form of involvement in the film.
Immediately after the video, Arbor was fired from his job where he became a choreographer for anti-bullying videos for children. The movie director hired to do says it "makes me never want to see it again".
On September 16, 2015, Arbor appeared on The View to defend his actions on the video "Dear Fat People", stating when at the show "the video was made to offend people... it was just an allusion," and a video it should not be taken seriously. Time quotes an interview stating, "Arbor does not see his comment as bullying, but rather an intense form of truth-telling". Arbor is quoted in the Time article, defending his actions:
I found seeing someone's head in the wind... I find starving children in the country with more than enough offending food. I find the female body mutilated for religious purposes, which offends me. But my words and satire do not feel offensive.
Allegations of domestic abuse
On January 11, 2016, YouTube personality Matthew Santoro posted "My Abuse Story", a video in which he stated that he had been in a physically and emotionally rough relationship with Arbor, even though he did not name his name in the video. The video was originally set to private after Santoro ended the relationship but was unintentionally published. Santoro claims he was manipulated to isolate himself from his friends and family because of Arbor's jealousy, and then even slapped it on his face. Arbor rejects the allegation in a YouTube video. Santoro has since deleted this video, and by 2018 has publicly claimed he is suffering from mental health problems.
