A video blog or video log , usually abbreviated to vlog , is a blogging form that is a video medium, and is a form web television. Vlog entries often incorporate embedded videos (or video links) with supporting text, images and other metadata. Entries can be recorded in one shot or cut into sections. Video logs (vlogs) also often utilize web syndication to allow distribution of videos over the Internet using RSS or Atom syndication formats, for automatic aggregation and playback on mobile devices and personal computers (see video podcasts).
Video Vlog
Histori
New York artist Nelson Sullivan is known for recording videos around New York City and South Carolina, in a vlog-like style in the 1980s.
On January 2, 2000, Adam Kontras posted a video with a blog post aimed at letting his friends and family know about cross-country moves to Los Angeles to pursue the show business, marking the first post on what would later become the longest video blog in history. In November of that year, Adrian Miles posted a video of changing the text on a still image, combining the terms vog to refer to his video blog. Filmmaker and musician Luuk Bouwman started in 2002 on the now-defunct Tropisms.org site as his college video diary, one of the first sites called vlogs or videologists. In 2004, Steve Garfield launched his own video blog and declared that year "the year of the video blog".
Vlogging saw a strong increase in popularity beginning in 2005. Yahoo! Videoblogging Group saw its membership increase dramatically in 2005. The most popular video sharing site to date, YouTube, was founded in February 2005. In July 2006, it has become the 5th most popular web destination, with 100 million videos viewed daily and 65,000 new uploads every day.
Many open source content management systems allow for the inclusion of video content, allowing bloggers to host and manage their own video blog sites. In addition, the convergence of mobile phones with digital cameras allows publishing video content onto the Web almost as recorded. Radio and television stations can use video blogs as a way to help more interact with listeners and viewers.
Guinness World Record
Charles Trippy, under YouTube's Killed Television channel, currently holds the Guinness World Record for "The Most Consecutive Video of a Daily Blog Post on YouTube," with over 3,000 consecutive videos.
VidCon
Guided in Los Angeles, California, VidCon is an annual convention that allows YouTube creators and viewers to come together to share content ideas and business contacts. The first VidCon event was held on July 10 and 11, 2010, and has now become the largest private gathering of internet creators, viewers, and representatives. The Convention recognizes that the ways in which society entertains, educates, shares, and communicates are undergoing revolutions, and choose to highlight these facts through paneling, meeting and greeting, and talks given to audiences at the convention.

Personal Vlog
Personal Vlogs are online videos that record individuals to convey the information they want to introduce to people. The audience is not as diverse as someone from a company or organization.
Broadcast broadcast vlog
YouTube announced a live feature called YouTube Live in 2008. This feature is also created by other social platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
YouTube presence
YouTube is currently ranked among the three most visited sites on the web. As a high traffic area for video bloggers, or vlogger , YouTube has created a platform for these participants to present their personal videos, which are often filmed using hand held points and camera shots. The popularity of vlogs in the YouTube community has increased exponentially in recent years; of the 100 most subscribed YouTube channels, 17 provide vlogs as their main style of recording. Many of these vloggers are part of the YouTube Partner Program, which professionalises the industry and enables the acquisition of money from video production. This professionalization also helps increase exposure to various channels and creates a sense of stability in the field. In addition, this professionalization allows creators to be perceived as a source that their viewers can trust. In addition, many vloggers have been able to turn their channel into a sustainable career; in 2013, the highest paid vlogger brings a minimum of $ 720,000 for the year. Hollywood is watching this rising medium, and has put its value on top of other entertainment companies like Marvel, which Disney recently bought.
Vlogumentary
I'm Vlogging Here is a 90-minute "vlogumentary" that focuses on documenting the world of video blogs and centering on YouTube vloggers who have found success in using this medium. Starring YouTube personality Shay Carl and his family from ShayTards, this film, to be released in late 2016, follows a family whose lives have been drastically changed with vlogging, because their daily lives are documented and uploaded for the world to see. Shay Carl is one of the founders of Maker Studios, a YouTube-based video supplier purchased by The Walt Disney Company. The involvement of big companies outside the Internet industry is a prime example of the ever-increasing need for a strong front on the digital side of one's company. This documentary is being created by a group with links to the YouTube community in the hope that it will spark interest and raise awareness of the impact of vlogging and the digital community on the entertainment industry.
