Arin Joseph Hanson (born January 6, 1987), also known by his Internet pseudonym Egoraptor , is an American Internet personality, animator, cartoonist, comedian, voice actor and songwriter. He is known for his Internet animation, as well as being the co-founder and star of the popular Let's Play Now school of Grumps Games and a third of Starbomb's video-based musical trio.
Hanson has created numerous animated web series on his YouTube Egoraptor channel, including the Amazing Series , where he parodies video game franchises, including Pokécà © mon , Metal Gear , Ninja Gaiden and Final Fantasy and also for Sequelitis, a series of animated video essays that he is comedy and critical compare video game quality and one of its sequels. She has also performed voice acting for shows such as Rick and Morty, Mighty's and Cyanide & amp; Happiness , and video games like Dragon Age: Inquisition , Promo Monster and Detective Grimoire . She regularly collaborates with the Ninja Sex Party, a musical comedy duo consisting of her colleagues Grabs Game and Starbomb Dan Avidan and Brian Wecht, providing guest vocals for their albums and appearing on their videos.

Animation
Hanson first joined Newgrounds under the name "Egoraptor" on September 16, 2001. After joining, he sent his first Awesome animation, "Metal Gear Awesome," on February 23, 2006. Hanson went on to upload various video animations games related to comedy, as well as four separate animated webseries (later uploaded to YouTube); Cool , a short animated video that parodies video games, Lemon 'n Bill , a comedy series in which anthropomorphic and lemon bullets are caught in the world of video games, Girlchan in Paradise , parody sh anime? nen, and Sequelitis , a series in which Hanson compares the video game and its sequel along with small animations throughout the video.
After MTV heard "Metal Gear Awesome," Hanson was approached by a channel to produce animated shorts in "Awesome Metal Gear" style for MTV online video game, The G-Hole.
Voice acting
In 2006, Hanson voted for Bruce Banner in the Marvel video game Ultimate Alliance as part of a competition hosted by Activision. His voice was eventually not used and the character was played by Robin Atkin Downes, though VGFacts , Hanson's own website, and a credit of the game claim that his voice was used on the Wii port. In 2009, Hanson voted for John Gore's character in the Minigore video game, and then replicated the role in the remake of 2011 Death Rally .
In 2012, Hanson gave his voice for the game Detective Grimoire, a successful Kickstarter project funded on August 3, 2012. Hanson has also voted for Dragon Age: Inquisition > Target Acquisition , Red vs. Blue , Cyanide & amp; Happiness , and Rick & amp; Morty
In 2016, Hanson is a regular player on Cartoon Network's Mighty Magiswords that provides the voice of Gateaux, the monosyllabic partner of the Moribidian wizard, played by Mary Faber. He also plays many other recurring characters such as Fibby Croax, Steve's Delivery Man, Zonq and many other additional characters. According to the creator of the series, Kyle Carrozza, Hanson was originally approached for the character's design on the show, but he refused. Despite being aware of his voice work, Carrozza was unaware of SAG-AFTRA membership of Hanson until he told him, which caused him to be a player on the show.
In 2016, Arin is added as Announcer on Move or Die .
Grumps Game
At the end of July 2012, Hanson and his colleague Jon Jafari (known for his comedy websek JonTron ) created a YouTube event together, called Game Grumps . In late June 2013, Dan Avidan, of the Ninja Sex Party band, replaced Jafari when he left Game Grumps to focus on his own channel. In this event, Hanson and Avidan play video games and talk, for the effects of comedy that often.
Regardless of the YouTube series, Grumps Games moved to live performances on the Hollywood Improv at the end of March 2016. Completely sold out, the show produced future performances in New York and other locations on the East Coast.
Collaboration
In February 2012, Hanson emerged as a contestant on the Sony game show, The Tester , during the third season, as a contestant chosen by the community, but accused of using the show to promote himself. When asked about his experience, and whether he will do it again, he responds negatively. Hanson emerged as a contestant in the third season of the Dance Showdown dance web series, alongside professional dancer Maxine Hupy. Hanson was announced as the winner of the season. Hanson has also been doing narrative work for several episodes of Did You Know Gaming? . In addition to providing additional work for online series on YouTube and Newgrounds, Hanson has been featured in several videos for the ScrewAttack website, including collaborations with James Rolfe and Keith Apicary. In 2008, Hanson teamed up with Ross O'Donovan in the animated Gamer Tonight animated webseries where he provided the host vote, which is broadcast on the Australian television show Good Games .

In 2013, Hanson provided vocals for the song "Knight in Shining Armor" by Dougal & amp; Gammer was released as part of the Clubland X-Treme Hardcore 9 compilation .
In 2013, Hanson, along with Game Grumps co-host and singer-songwriter Ninja Sex Party Leigh Daniel Avidan and instrumentalist Brian Wecht, formed the band Starbomb. They released their first album, named Starbomb in December 2013. Starbomb went on to release their second album one year later in December 2014, titled Player Select . On April 15, 2014, FAT REFUND, a rap song, was released on StamperTV channel, a collaboration between several animators and voice actors including Rice Pirate, Marc M., Stamper, and Hanson himself. In early 2016, Hanson performed with Starbomb on their first live show at SXSW.

In 2013, Hanson appeared on the webseries Hot Pepper Gaming . He reviewed Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate after eating habanero chilli. In 2014, Hanson returned to the event, reviewing the game Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes while eating Bhut Jolokia.
Hanson will be voicing a playable character on Hex Heroes .
Hanson also starred alongside Avidan in the "Good Game", the YouTube Red Original series.

Personal life
Hanson lives in Glendale, California, with his wife, Suzanne "Suzy" Berhow. The two met at a convention and started dating in 2002. Hanson proposed to her in 2011, and they married in 2013. She also has her own game channel under the pseudonym Mortem3r, entitled KittyKatGaming, where Hanson is often featured.
