" Spring Break Anthem " is a song written and recorded by American comedy hip hop group The Lonely Island for their third studio album The Wack Album . "Spring Break Anthem" was first conceived during the 2010 session that produced the second album of the trio, Turtleneck & amp; Chain (2011) but not fully developed until they begin recording The Wack Album by the end of 2012. The initial goal is to pair the rough and irresponsible spring behavior with the same description- sex marriage. "We wanted to show how ridiculous the spring behavior was to be normal and gay marriage was crazy when it was completely the opposite," Schaffer said.
